Laser Therapy (LANAP)
The LANAP Protocol
The LANAP protocol is a laser-based approach to gum disease using an Nd:YAG free running pulsed laser requiring specific knowledge and skills drawn from the whole of dentistry.
To you, the patient, this means: less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, less tissue removed, less down time and less recovery time; which is decidedly less costly to you and your employer.
We use the LANAP protocol to treat gum disease to: remove only the diseased tissue without removing any of the healthy tissue, maintain the height of the tissue around teeth, minimize pain and discomfort to the patient, get a closure of the periodontal pocket wound and allow healing to take place.
Controlling periodontal disease makes it possible to save and restore otherwise hopeless teeth.
I wanted to take a few moments to write my thanks for all you have done. As you are well aware, I for the most part, avoided a periodontist if at all possible. Upon learning I had a loose tooth at a regular cleaning appointment, it was very much recommended I see you for help. I guess all the previous suggestions to receive periodontal treatment went in one ear and out the other until I heard “loose tooth."
You and your staff were outstanding in keeping me informed and updated with everything going on with my surgery, treatment and of course needed regular dental maintenance. You said “we’ll keep our fingers crossed” concerning the severity of the “loose tooth” and if it will be saved. Time will tell. The laser technology you used for my procedure certainly was “less painful, less trouble, and less pain” than procedures I had in the past. It’s a pleasure for me to clean my teeth and no longer experience, pain and bleeding.
Since the surgery both are now gone.
Thank you very much,"
